Four returning starters to the offensive line will add stability and toughness to the offense. The Bulldogs will run the flexbone offense, utilizing that offensive line and sound running backs. Cabe Dickerson (6-0, 215, Sr.) starts at fullback where he carried the ball 72 times for 447 yards. Dickerson can also lead the way for Mysean Wells (5-10, 175, Sr.) at tailback. Wells had 27 carries for 218 yards in only six games last season. Derek Beach (6-2, 175, Sr.) looks to lead the team at quarterback behind a big offensive line. Caleb Leyja (6-2, 250, Sr.), Cale Gallagher (6-1, 225, Sr.) and Aydan Lesley (5-10, 205, Sr.) are all returning starters and leaders on this team. “Offensively we like to run the football and look forward to relying on our returning offensive line to lead our offense,” said coach Matt Terry. “We will be breaking in several new starters on both sides of the ball and will have to rely on our experienced players to provide leadership and step up and make plays for us early in the year.”

Dickerson and several other players from offense will see time on the defense. Dickerson will start at linebacker where he corralled 73 tackles. Hunter Webb (6-3, 225, Sr.) is a defensive tackle with tremendous potential. Last year Webb had 23 tackles, five sacks and broke up five passes. Webb has fully recovered from ACL surgery and is hungry to get back onto the field under the lights. Wells and Beach will start in the secondary, while Laethon Patterson (5-10, 180, Jr.) will join Dickerson at linebacker. Draven Ybarra (6-2, 290, Sr.) is a big defensive stalwart coach Terry expects to have a big year. The coaching staff consists of Dusty Davis, Jay Benway, Mark Dabelstein, Mike Torres, Jaime Reyna, Jonathan Lamb, JP Snapp and Reece Woolbright.
