Chickasha’s Lexi Albright – Character Counts Presented by First National Bank & Trust

Chickasha lady softball player Lexi Albright is excited for the upcoming year for her team and is looking forward to a great season.

She’s been playing softball since she was very young.

“I’ve played softball ever since I started t-ball when I was five through machine pitch baseball and on my Cardinals travel ball team. Now i’m on an amazing high school team at Chickasha.”

Albright is a very versatile fielder for Chickasha. She can play third, shortstop, and left field.

“I mainly play third base. I love that when i’m at third, I’m always in every play of the game. most of the hitters are righties so I’m constantly getting hard hit balls and it just is one of the most fun things. I also play short-stop and left,” Lexi says.

For her spare time she loves to ride horses and spend time with her friends.

She has many favorite things about playing with the softball team including being friends on and off the field.

“I love that I can be completely myself around my team. They bring out the best in me and while we have the most fun together off the field, when we get on that field we can do our jobs and work our hardest together while still having fun.”

Lexi is multi-sport athlete for Chickasha high school and loves to compete in all different sports. She is also a proud member of FCA which goes to show how much of a leader she is,

“I also play soccer and basketball for Chickasha High School along with softball. I play club soccer on an OEFC team. I am in FCA. I think that being in FCA is important because even though I love the sports I play, it reminds me that I should always put god before all my worldly activities,” says Lexi.

She is not only a great athlete but a great student. Lexi has worked hard throughout her highschool career to maintain her 4.0 GPA. She participates in Oklahoma Honors Society and National Honors Society. After graduating high school Lexi plans on attending college and being a member of a college athletic team.

Lexi expects good year out of the Lady Chicks and believe they can go far with the depth they have on the team.

“I think that people can expect a great season from the Lady Chicks softball team this year. I am confident in my team and I believe that we have much more depth to our team and our current coach Courtney St. Clair has really helped us improve our fundamentals on the team.”
