Cason Dillon has put in a lot of extra time working on his basketball game. “It has taken a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication,” he said. “There has also been getting out in the driveway and getting my shots in.”

Dillon, a senior at Plainview High School, plays basketball and runs track for the Indians. He plays guard for the basketball team, a sport he has played for as long as he can remember.

The basketball game of Dillon, as well as his life, is his brother Dalton Dillon. “He graduated from Plainview in 2014,” he said. “He has influenced my love of basketball and is also someone I look up to.”

There have been a few teachers throughout his education that have impacted Cason’s life, but there is on teachers that has made the biggest impact. “Mrs. Parham is my favorite teacher,” he said. “She encourages me to be a smart player on the court and also, work hard in the classroom.”

The highlight of Cason’s athletic career is one that he shared with his basketball teammates. “Last season, we won the Purcell Tournament,” he stated. “In order to win the tournament, we had to beat three teams that were ranked in the top twelve. It was a really great win.”

While he enjoys playing the game, he also enjoys influencing others to play basketball. “I like being able to make a positive impact and set a good christian example.”

Outside of athletics, Cason is also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Multimedia, National Honor Society, and the Academic Team.
