Anadarko’s Blayke Brower – Athlete Spotlight Presented By Bank of Commerce

Anadarko junior Blayke Brower enters the postseason with a 27-7 record. The Warrior wrestler is looking to qualify for the State Tournament for the second year in a row at the 170-pound weight division. Brower will compete at the Class 3A West Regional in Geary with a chance to qualify for the State Tournament in the Big House. This go around, the upperclassman is working to become a state placer for the first time.

Brower also plays on the Anadarko football team, where he performs on both sides of the ball at the outside linebacker and wide receiver positions. This season, Brower led the team in the least amount of dropped balls at wide receiver and was second in tackles with more than 90 tackles.

Brower’s favorite sport is wrestling, which he enjoys competing in year-round. Eventually, Brower would like to wrestle at the collegiate level.

herever he attends, Brower plans to major in psychology with a potential career in criminal justice. In his free time, Brower enjoys hiking in the Wichita Mountains. Brower credits him mom, Misty, for his drive throughout his young career.

“My mom has always believed in me and picked me up when I’m down,” Brower said. “She makes me strive to do the best I can.”
