Duncan’s Zoe Gray – Mom of the Month Presented By Bank of Commerce

Duncan Mom of the Month recipient is not only a mother, but a grandmother to six grandkids as well. Zoe Gray was surprised to be receiving the award saying, “I don’t do anything anyone else wouldn’t do”. Zoe is a volunteer for the Duncan High School wrestling team. Her one and only grandson is a sophomore for the team.

Being involved with the wrestling team for too many years to count, Zoe and her husband have been dedicated fixtures in the program. “Even when we didn’t know anyone that wrestled we were still involved with the program,” said Zoe.

Helping wherever she can Zoe bakes cookies for the hospitality room, helps fundraise by making and auctioning off her handmade quilts, and is always available for whatever the team needs. “I’ve always stepped in and did whatever needed to be done,” said Zoe. Her main goal is that the kids all have a good experience while wrestling.

Born and raised in Duncan, Zoe is also a Duncan High School Alumni. Zoe went to college at what was known as Central State in Edmond at the time. She had a successful career at Halliburton as a Business Process Analyst. Now retired, Zoe enjoys living within miles of her six grandchildren stating, “I don’t know what I would do if they weren’t nearby, I might have to move”.

If not volunteering for the wrestling team Zoe is also volunteering for her church, helping bake cookies for their Thanksgiving and Christmas events. “I probably made seventy-five dozen cookies for both of those events,” said Zoe.
